Sportswear: Swan Lake

Swan Lake is a sportswear costume design project exploring ballet through performance, tradition, and storytelling. After researching ballet culture, technical innovation, and Swan Lake’s history, I developed four costumes for Odette, Odile, Prince Siegfried, and the corps de ballet. The designs use silhouette, structure, material, and symbolic details to explore the ballet’s themes of duality, transformation, confinement, and freedom, while considering the movement and performance requirements of the dancers.
